Sensei Daniel - one of the most sincere, caring people I know. He wants you to do well in your martial arts journey and your life journey. He's very supportive but also demanding that you push yourself to your OWN 100%. He CARES about ALL his students. Classmates - my Mon/Wed classmates range from 15 to 60 (me) and every one of them is supportive of each other. "Family" is an often overused term but close to appropriate at AMA. Kempo - the teachings of the techniques are on point. Sensei Daniel demonstrates all movement with clockwork precision and has an incredible way to break down each movement to be digested by even the oldest newbie (me). More than Martial Arts - I joined thinking I would learn movement, strikes, blocks, and it is all that but much more. It's a sweat soaking workout. Calisthenics, strength conditioning, flexibility, aerobic level drills. I have seen a northward migration of stomach flab to arm, shoulder, and chess muscle. Shirts once tight in the belly are now tight in the chest / shoulders. Self discipline / Self accountability - Throughout all of Sensei Daniel's classes are an underlying, but clear as day theme of self discipline and self accountability. You are responsible for your own goals, successes, happiness, and choices. I would highly recommend Liberty AMA / Sensei Daniel to ANYONE (young or old) looking to expand or start their fitness, martial arts, and/or self discovery journey."

"As a 71 year old female I have belonged to a few different gyms and tried many types of exercise. Believe me when I say that Aplomb Martial Arts Lenexa is not a workout. It is FUN with a purpose. I was even able to continue training after a knee replacement. Sensei Gary is very patient and always encouraging. He is especially great with the kids. After 4 1/2 years I just received my third degree brown belt and my goal is a black belt by the time I’m 75. Definitely achievable. The tai chi classes are great for developing balance and stability, great for us older individuals, and the Kempo classes really teach self defense and agility. All ages and levels are welcome so don’t be afraid to give it a try. And the friendships I have made are a bonus."
