From there, you can join our Instructor Academy and build the skills you need to become a leader in and out of the studio. We’ll be there to coach you and cheer you on every step of the way.
How long does it take to get a martial arts franchise up and running? While we can’t speak for other franchises, at Aplomb, we require a minimum of 3 months of training before you open your dojo doors. During this time, we pack in the equivalent of 2 years of training that includes martial arts practice, business lessons, and shadowing of other successful locations. From negotiating leases to advising on the buildout and hiring processes, we truly invest our time in you and your dojo from the ground up. And from there the fun has just begun! We hold all Aplomb franchise owners to high standards not just when it comes to running their business, but also in a continual, rigorous journey to self-improvement that keeps them doing what they love.
What does "business training" include for an Aplomb franchise owner? Outside of unlimited martial arts training (yay!) Aplomb franchisors have unlimited business training and coaching access, including marketing, motivational, customer service, financial, lead/student management, and more. We want you to learn about: Inside and outside marketing for every month of the year Promotional activities, events, and booths How to increase your student base and reach Increasing retention and student satisfaction Developing exceptional customer service and communication Leadership within your dojo Goal setting for your own dojo’s success
What kind of resources do you offer franchisors? Every Aplomb dojo owner has access to a full library of resources and training materials which is continually updated. This includes over 100 promotional resources already created that you can use to grow your business (flyers, posters, gift certificates, school and non-profit programs, and more); dozens of in-house activities and events to help you build camaraderie with your students, increase retention, and develop more referrals; and numerous examples of correspondence emails and letters for students and parents. It also includes step-by-step “how-to” guides for both owners and instructors, lesson plans, and in-house business materials.
What would my dojo's digital presence look like? When you franchise an Aplomb Martial Arts studio, your business will be marketed on a professionally developed website created by a top national website design company, plus social media pages. This automatically generate more traffic and interest in your dojo site, as you would be connected to a bigger, professional company with more web power than nearly anyone else in the industry!
Would my franchise agreement include software? Yes! We offer advanced customer manager software and training on how to make this software program work for you to grow and manage your business.
